Boudoir Experience Explained

My friend Jamie came into the studio for the whole boudoir experience a few months ago(pre-Covid-19). It’s always so fun having her in the studio because she is so motivating! Her whole brand is about getting s*** done and if you know me at all, you know that productivity is my jam.
Jamie is an expert operations manager and productivity queen, turned Mindset, Business, and Lifestyle Coach in the Saint Louis area. She also hosts the Lifestyle Creation Podcast where she has real conversations about how you can shift your perspective, change your habits, and start intentionally designing life on your terms. If you have some time check out her podcast and her blog. They are some of my favorites!
By the way, we have some really cool female entrepreneurs in STL… I’d just like to mention that. Go Saint Louis.
3 Tips to rock your boudoir experience
After Jamie’s session, I asked her what three tips she would give clients who are coming in for a boudoir experience. She had these three suggestions.
- Be creative with your outfits.
- A Spray tan is always a game changer.
- Trust me(Tracy) with posing.
Be creative with your outfits.
Jamie is so great at bringing outfits that are different, which makes the session so fun. She literally brought her rolling suitcase and we had so much fun creating options together.
She brought things like robes, bodysuits, crop tops, and heals or converse. We mixed and matched and came up with creative options that not everyone else photographs.
I like to be different!
A spray tan is always a game changer.
She is so right about this. A spray tan evens out your skin tone and gives your skin a glow that pops in the photos(and with the right light).
My girl Missy at Just Fakin Tans is the best in St. Louis. She has been trained specifically for competitions and photography.
Plus she knows how I shoot and what I like in a tan. Just be sure to tell her I sent you when you book your session . 🙂
Trust Tracy with posing.
What she means by this is that I pose clients from head to fingers to toes. You don’t need to worry about anything, especially if you have never been in front of the camera before. You just need to show up with great outfits and a beautiful tan. My makeup artist and I will take care of the rest.
In Jamie’s words: “It’s always kind of a whirlwind because we shoot so fast but keeps it exciting and the final results are always so impressive!!!”
She’s right when she says that I shoot sessions relatively fast. But that’s a good thing because it doesn’t give you time to overthink what you’re doing.
And like Jamie said, I promise the results will be exactly what you envisioned! Or better. 🙂
