After photographing my beautiful clients in Saint Louis, MO for well over 4 years at this point, I’ve learned a few things.  Often, I get the same set of questions from women.  Although I have those answered on my website here(but scroll down to the bottom of the page), I decided to expand a bit.  This post is all about the boudoir session tips from those FAQ’s.

What if I’m nervous before the session?

The majority of my clients have never been in front of a camera with the exception of family photos, so most are super nervous.  Thankfully, I have a ton of experience with calming nerves thanks to my background in dental hygiene.  You know everyone is scared of the dentist!

I provide (limited) mimosas during hair and makeup so that you relax and enjoy the pampering. 🙂  I also created my Signature Ice Breaker poses to help clients get comfortable fast.  Once we make it through those, you’ll feel like a model.

Do you provide Hair and Makeup?

I include hair and makeup with the initial session fee.  My makeup artist is specifically trained to apply makeup for photos, so know you are in GREAT hands.  You’ll be looking fabulous before the session AND it’s a great way to just relax for a few minutes before you transform into a model.

When are sessions booked?

I travel full time now and so my schedule is limited to TWO days each month.  You can check it out here. One of the days is a Sunday and the other is a Monday so it usually works for most clients. 🙂

How do I prep for a sessions?  What should I wear??

I created the ULTIMATE Guide to Prepping for your session, which you can get here. There are so many recommendations inside the guide.  Also, be sure to check out my 3 part series all about what to wear.  Here are those links:

What’s your normal turnaround time?

My turnaround time is very fast, typically between 3-8 weeks depending on the album you order. If you need it sooner, though, be sure to let me know.  I’m sure I can work with you!

I’m not a bride.  Will you still photograph me?

Of course I will! 🙂 Every woman deserves to feel the power of a boudoir session at least once in her life!

What’s your privacy policy for my photos? Do you share every client’s online?

Photos are only shared with specific permission from my clients. I absolutely will not share anything without your written and signed consent so no need to worry! 🙂

Conclusion

I hope these boudoir session tips helped ease your nerves, but if you have any questions whatsoever about possibly scheduling a session or just want to chat about any other questions you may have, be sure to email me!
