Time for yourself during Covid-19

As women, we tend to take care of everyone except ourselves. We are caregivers. It’s just our nature. But in this crazy time of self quarantine due to Covid-19, it’s so important to still take time for yourself. We just have to whether you’re a mom, an employee, a business owner, you’re caring for parents or grandparents, or you’re just trying to deal with all of this alone.
Time for yourself in the morning
I work for myself, from home, so I get quite a bit of time alone. But I do keep our household going, from running errands, grocery shopping, and keeping the bills paid and our dogs alive.
All of that can be stressful enough on top of running a business and moving to Tome’s next job at the drop of a hat. Seriously, with pipelining, you can think you’ll be in one spot for a while and then within 2 days you’re four states from where you were. It’s fun, but can give you anxiety in the middle of a pandemic. Haha.
So every single morning, I take time to make some coffee, pet the dogs, and decide on the important things I need to accomplish for the day. Those few minutes are minutes I really do need for myself.
I miss having a bathtub.
I’d forgotten about how much I love the time alone in a bathtub until we went to Gatlinburg over Christmas vacation. We had a hot tub AND a bathtub.
That time to yourself in a warm bubble bath can really give you time to relax and self reflect.
Have you tried the lavender bath bombs? This one is one of my favorites when I do get to take a bath.
These are great for a few reasons.
- Relax Bath Bomb is scented with blue lavender and palarosa essential oil blend.
- Moisturizes and softens your skin
- Lavender helps calms and relax
- Fizzes in your bath tub
And of course wine.
And of course, you HAVE to have a glass of wine while you’re relaxing bubble bath. There’s just something about a glass of wine in a bubble bath by yourself, or with your man, huh?
I order this wine about 10 bottles at a time and ALWAYS keep it on hand. It’s my go to for sure.
Remember to take time for yourself in this crazy time. AND after as well.
Covid-19 is not something that any of us expected to experience. It’s like one day we were getting our crap together and adulting really well, and then boom. Our worlds were turned upside down.
But it’s not going to last. We WILL make it through. Until then though, really enjoy time with your family. It’s time we likely never would have had WITHOUT Covid-19.
There’s always an upside I guess.
Look at it like a blessing. We’ll appreciate it once it’s over, and maybe even miss it.
As always, I’ll be here to photograph your boudoir session, but more importantly remind you of how perfect you are just the way you are, when it’s over. My schedule is already open for the rest of the year if you are ready to book as well. 🙂
