STL Nail Salons for Boudoir Session

I’ve mentioned it before and I will mention it again I’m sure, but it’s so important to get your nails done for your boudoir session. Even if you’re one to paint your own nails, for your boudoir session, go ahead and splurge at one of the STL nail salons near you. Not only will you feel great after a mani/pedi, your nails will look great, which is important for photos.
So in this blog, let’s cover your nails first, then your toes, and we will finish off with what STL nail salons I love most.
STL Nail salons and nail color
This is obviously personal preference, and totally depends on your outfit choices as well.
Are you wearing all neutrals? Then you can go with something more bold like a red if that fits your style. Or you can stick with neutrals if you’re like me. For myself, I always stay with grays or blacks.
I read somewhere once to avoid black, but I actually love black in photos. I tend to be a bit dramatic though.
The color I highly recommend avoiding is bright colors, like hot pinks or greens. The way I shoot is more neutral and dramatic, so those bright colors never look great in photos. I also think they will date the photos too. That’s just my personal opinion though.
Long nails?
This is absolutely your call here. Both look great, but remember boudoir photography is all about you. Make sure whatever you choose reflects you, your style, and your personality.
Whatever you do though, make sure they aren’t chipped or broken when you come in for your session. You want to look and feel your very best during the session, and a chipped or broken nail can definitely throw you off.
Nail shape?
I do have an opinion about nail shape though. Square nails make your fingers look longer and thinner. We all want long, beautiful fingers right?
Again though, this is all about your preference and personality! You do you. 🙂
STL Nail Salons
So what STL nail salons should you choose? Honestly, any are probably fine, as long as the salon is clean and professional.
Ladue Nails has several locations. There’s one in Clayton, one in CWE, one in Ladue, and another in Frontenac.
Central West End Nails and Spa and Paint Nail Bar have great reviews on Yelp and we all know that Yelp reviewers love to give very honest reviews so that’s saying something.
But like I said, any clean nail salon will be great. I tend to choose my nail salon according to who opens the earliest, but maybe you need one that stays open later.
I’m happy with wherever you choose as long as your nails look great!
Conclusion
Like I said in the beginning of this post, having your nails done at one of the STL nail salons will help you look and feel your best. Choose a color, length, and shape that reflects your personality and style, bring outfits that you feel amazing in, and leave the rest to me!
