5 reasons not to be nervous during your session

St. Louis boudoir photography

At the first inquiry, my girls will tell me that a boudoir session is so out of their comfort zone and they are really nervous.

Of course you’re nervous girls! I know the majority of my clients are doing this because they want an amazing gift for their man on their wedding day(or Christmas/anniversary/Valentine’s Day). But seriously… you’ll be practically naked with a stranger you’ve probably only met via FaceTime. Nerves should be expected.

Five reasons you don’t need to be nervous about your boudoir session.

Let’s talk about why you shouldn’t be nervous, though.

  1. You know you can trust the results.
  2. I’m a woman and I’ve seen every body type possible.
  3. My hair and makeup artist is amazing.
  4. I give you a ton of information about how to make sure your session is everything you dreamed it would be.
  5. AND I have mimosas.

You know you can trust your boudoir session results.

When you started considering a boudoir session, I’m sure the first thing you did was google, right? Maybe Pin some photos? The best thing you can do is research what you like and don’t like.

I have a distinct style. Most either love it or they don’t. But if you’ve booked a session with me, I want you to be confident in that what I show in my portfolio is exactly what I can deliver for you during your session.

I’ve studied with the literal best in the boudoir/portrait industry. I know posing, angles, light, and shadow like the back of my hand. I promise you, no matter the circumstance, your results will be wall worthy. Or for those of you who would rather put your photos away so they’re for your man’s eyes only, they’ll be album worthy.

I’m a woman and I’ve seen every body type possible.

In the past three years, I’ve photographed close to 500 sessions. Seriously, I’ve seen every body type out there. Every single woman has something they don’t love about themselves, but my goal in the session is to show you how to love that “flaw”.

My hair and makeup artist is AMAZING.

In three years in St. Louis, I’ve worked with a LOT of makeup artists. Kendra, my current makeup artist, knows her stuff and she knows how to apply makeup to complement the way I photograph sessions. A lot of girls have had bad experiences with makeup artists, but the majority of those girls RAVE about Kendra.

Plus hair and makeup is a good way to get rid of your nervous energy before the session. She’s so great at helping you feel comfy and beautiful before the session.
