STL Boudoir Session about Self Love

Jamie came in for a session with her best friends for a fun girls day stl boudoir session a few months ago. I met with them about 3 weeks prior to her session for a consult where we discussed outfits and what she was wanting to get out of her session.

The Consult
This session for Jamie and her friends was all about learning to love themselves as they are. During the consult, we discussed what to wear in depth to flatter each girl as they all had very different body types and styles. To feel comfortable during the actual photography session, it’s so important to wear the right outfits and feel like yourself!

Jamie’s STL Boudoir Session
As I mentioned above, this was a girl’s day session, but during these sessions, each client still gets a full session with me individually. Jamie started in a sporty Victoria’s Secret bra and panty set that matched her style, then we changed into her black lace bralette with strappy black cheeky underwear. This outfit was very flattering for her body type!
Jamie is sporty but girly, which I love about her so much because I can relate! After she was feeling more comfortable, she changed into this off the shoulder white tee with converse. I prefer waiting until the third or fourth outfit for tee shirts or sweaters. By the third outfit, you are usually feeling sexier so the outfit works really well!

Jamie wore a lace bralette and super strappy underwear with black stilettos for her fourth outfit and we ended the session in the white sheets.
Seeing the photos
Jamie and her friends came back to the studio the week following their STL boudoir session for the ordering appointment. After telling me how sore they were the day after their session, we went through the photos one by one. This day was emotional. Each girl was so excited about her photos and couldn’t believe the beautiful woman in the images was actually her. They each learned to love and accept “flaws” as a beautiful part of her body. One of the girls mentioned how much she now loves her stretch marks from pregnancy. She GREW A HUMAN. She deserves those battle scars.

I love this “job”
The results of that ordering session reminded me this is why I chose this career. Last year was a huge change in my life and at one point I could tell I was getting burned out. This ordering session and their STL boudoir session was exactly what I needed at exactly the right time, so I am very thankful for Jamie and her girls.

Have you thought about a boudoir session?
Have you thought about a session for either self love or even for a gift for your man? It’s such a great experience for yourself and even better you will have something to look back through to remember the feeling.

Before Jamie even had her album in her hand, she had already booked her second session with me. She emailed me right after telling me how thankful she was for the session and how obsessed she is with the photos! I can’t wait for her next session!
